Yellow colour, citrus flavour with an elegant and mineral profile. The Alvarinho (from Melgaço) full of tropical fruit and structure, contrasts with the Loureiro (from the Lima valley), floral and full of elegance. ALLO is a vibrant and precise white wine with a unique balance due to the moderately low (11.5% abv) alcohol content. The Alvarinho grape gives the wine structure while the Loureiro grape gives it the elegant and mineral aromatic distinction. Ideal as an aperitif or to accompany seafood, fish or poultry dishes.

Newly launched in 2017, this wine is only in its third vintage. Consisting of a blend of Alvarinho (70%) & Pinot Noir (30%), the wine owes its persistence to Pinot Noir and its elegance to Alvarinho with a moderate alcohol content of 12.5%. This wine can be enjoyed as an excellent relaxing aperitif, as it is very much in line with the current trend of consuming wine by the glass. The Alvarinho produced in high-altitude vineyards, with its intense, fresh and mineral character, receives the addition of Pinot Noir, which is also grown in this region and brings a more aromatic and elegant element to the blend. This creates a wine which is aromatic and fresh at the same time, with a mineral character and intense flavour.

This wine is the result of a clear commitment to respect the tradition with local grapes such as Garnacha, and a concern for the environment through the use of organic production techniques. This is the product of two generations of the Sanz family’s profound knowledge of what their land can produce. This is a complex vintage, winter was mild but spring was very rainy and cold. Flowering and veraison were 20 days later than previous vintage, altough due to the high temperatures in September, the delay was compensated in 2 weeks. Rain was the most prominent element of the vintage after 2 years of water drought but there was an extra effort in the vineyard management. It the end it was a historically fresh and good vintage. The grapes were harvested by hand when they reached optimum ripeness in each single vineyard. They were picked up and transported to the winery in small boxes. Fermentation temperatures were between 24º and 26ºC, to preserve the character of the fruit. The grapes then undergo a soft pressing and pumping over before bottling. Dry, fresh, soft tannins and medium body with red fruit flavours, mineral hints and a long finish.

The estate wines are characterized by the variety of vineyards and are therefore the calling card of this winery. The vines ripen exclusively in the prime locations around Bechtheim and Westhofen. The characteristic variety of the soils and the high maturity give them their special expression. A creation of young vines, planted on the traditional soil of the Bechtheimer terroir. Through strong reduction in yield, these young vines unfold their full power. Accurately developed and matured over several months to provide an extraordinary sensory experience. The result is innovative, elegant & a very fine wine. Skin contact up to 18 hours with spontaneous fermentation in 90% stainless steel vats & 10% in 1,200 litre wooden barrels. This is a juicy Riesling. Certified Organic.

Pinot & Syrah

The Pinot & Syrah brings together two supposedly separate wine worlds. The elegance of Pinot Noir meets the spice of Syrah. In retrospect, it represents a logical consequence of the company’s commitment to both grape varieties. This unusual blend gives the sweet fruit of the Pinot Noir a boost with peppery, spicy Syrah notes. The Syrah grape in cool climates has many of the characteristics of the thin-skinned, fussy Pinot Noir and together they combine a lavishly spicy, basket of sweet dark fruits, with blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and hints of dried fruit with a finely woven woody aroma. Delicate and fine on the palate, this blend clearly shows its Pinot Noir origins.

The “Obli’” is the pride of Enza La Fauci. It’s her top wine coming from the Faro DOC from the province of Messina and made from a blend of 60% Nerello Mascalese, 15% Nocera, 15% Nerello Cappuccio and 10% Nero d’Avola grapes. Of all the Sicilian denominations, Faro is perhaps the one that is giving the biggest surprises in terms of elegance and expressiveness. Here the Nerello Mascalese, a grape variety that is always linked to the Etna DOC (but which has a very important tradition in Messina), expresses more generous wines thanks to the support of Nero d’Avola and Nocera. Harvested and vinified individually between late August and mid-October the grapes are cold macerated for 10 days prior fermentation. Aged for 18 months in used oak barrels and 9 months in bottle prior release, this wine shows an intense ruby red color with violet and garnet reflections. Nose is floral, intense with wide hints of plum, blackberries and wood spices. Well structured, harmonious, persistent on the palate, and it is characterized by a never intrusive tannin, which accompanies it towards a beautiful finish, with a clear Mediterranean mark. It is best served in large red wine glasses and pairs seamlessly with red meats, medium aged cheeses and salumi.

“I am not drinking any fucking Merlot!” This familiar phrase among wine lovers might well be true… if it wasn’t spoken by a complete idiot. When Merlot grapes are vinified without sulfur, using native yeast, and then aged in concrete vats, Merlot can produce the sort of nice, feisty wine that is in this bottle!
A free winemaker”
100% Merlot and declassified as Vin de France, this is part of the limited bottled ” Les Dissidents” range. Following a number of experiments, a whole instinctive range comprised of micro-cuvees and varietal wines, prohibited by the appellation, in truly exclusive, libertarian style with a choice of what the winemaker believe to be the best varieties of the soil, this unclassified range of French wine defies the institutions, their regulations and conventional wine. Yield of just 35 hectoliters per hectare with non sulfite fermentation with indigenous yeasts and bio-protection (by using non saccharomyces yeasts to avoid brettanomyces.) Post fermentation maceration for 10 days at 35 degrees Celsius, malolactic fermentation and aging for 3 months in concrete tanks. A juicy, explosive, and unique wine! Fresh, intense, and mineral. The kind of wine that could change the image of merlot. Fresh and crunchy with grassy fruit and fine

No sulphite vinification and indigenous yeast with daily pump-overs and malolactic fermentation. Aged on fine lees with micro oxygenation for 3 months.
